First Workout on Campus

Today I woke up around 8 and kind of half slept until 930am. It was nice, but as usual I woke up with stuffed up sinuses and a bit of “futon-ache” lol. Desi’s apartment used to house smokers and the apt thought they could get the smoke smell out for them, but they couldn’t. It is getting better, but smoke always makes me feel really congested. Plus I sleep on a metal futon with thin mattress. Ah well, lol, because I am super grateful that I have a place to stay with a great girl 🙂
Anyway, breakfast consisted of some oats with raisins, dried cranberries, and light brown sugar. It was plain and good.
I always forget to pack dinner, as seen last night, and had to buy something. I often also forget to pack a lunch for the next day. I need to work on that! I can at least put stuff in the refridgerator around 2pm. Maybe I’ll get a car cooler or something to house my stuffs. That is a good idea to be honest.
Anyway, I ended up getting lunch at the union. They have a little deli on east campus that makes sandwiches, and they have great ingredients!
I got a turkey on wheat with cucumber, leaf lettuce, tomatoes, feta, vinegar and panini-ed. I had a granny smith on the side.

I dried to drink my water before I worked out, and catch up on some blogs. During, I had a mango O.N.E. coconut water. Love these for working out! Seriously!
This was my first workout of the semester on campus. I have only worked out one other time in the week and a half that school started, but hope to build up to M-R or at least 3 days a week. We were going to workout last night but didn’t. Mike is also working out a lot more now, and I am so proud of him! He is really sore after his hard workouts, but he keeps truckin! We hope to both hit our goals probably by the end of this year. I’m on my way, as I’m slowly losing weight right now and if he sticks to his program, he’ll get to where he wants pretty easily.
I ended up doing 10 minutes of treadmill running (I HATE treadmills) and 10 minutes of stair stepper along with a bunch of 10lb free weight arm workouts and some machine rows at 40?lb. Not bad.
After my workout, I’m doing some homework and messing around online a little.
At 4 I have my second and last class of the day: Food Production and Management. Blech! But I do like the teacher.
And afterwards I have the hour drive home … and will snack on my chocolate decadence Vega bar.
This one tasted very similar to the bare vibrance flavour, and really it looked like the only diff was the addition of cocoa. But the chocolate flavour was hard to differentiate. Still good!
I must make a confession though … I had to “mark all as read” for anything before August 25/6th ish. 😦 I can’t keep up at points! But I’m mostly up to date! Lol.
That is all for now! I made a pita pizza (ala April) tonight, put in the oven til the cheese melted. I used farmer’s cheese, basil, my yellow minitomato, and some feta. Yum! I had an orange on the side.
Omg this was amazing. The two cheeses blended great together. Needed more tomatoes, but I only had the one tiny one lol.
I also had a bit of tropical trail mix for dessert.

Have to work 8pm-2am tonight. Blech. Then a mondo 3 hours of sleep… Sigh.
