Real quick question … For anyone who might be subscribing to my blog, does your reader update everytime I update or would it be easier if I made a separate post for each update? Let me know!!!!
Here was my outing minilunchuno:
This Clif bar? Well, it tasted like maple brown sugar oatmeal with a hint of cherry, a few almonds thrown in, and had the occasional tasty white soy chocolate morsel. Mmmmm…. I never remember these Clif bars being so good! The Kombucha tasted like I was drinking pure strawberries. Very good!
Anyway, I headed out to get a few supplies for tomorrow’s bake fest and also to Best Buy for my new little friend! The Garmin Forerunnre 305!
My blogging heartrate seems to be between 60-70 depending on how excited I get. It sure is big, but who cares? Don’t you just love my little running docking station in the middle pic? LOL! Ignore the water and dust!
Now it is about time to go test out my Garmin! I’ll update when I get back with the results… And please please please let me know if my updates come through on your readers or if I should start doing seperate posts! 🙂
Prerun snack-a nanner and a glass of fresh-out-the-nut coconut water:
PS I just hit 100 views for the day … and the day is only half done! Thanks for visiting everyone!
Look what just arrived from the UPS man! (Which, by the way, he brought a dog treat to the door for my Great Dane – he earns points for that!!!)
Thank you a million times to Wendy from Synergy Drinks!!!!! I am so happy to receive this product to review on my blog! Expect a monster post on all the flavors once I have tried them all. There are a few more at Whole Foods that I’d like to try so I’m going to try and budget them in so I can give a review of all of their products as thanks to their generosity!
A little tidbit on Kombucha from their website:
“Kombucha is alternately known as a Chinese tea, a plant, or a mushroom. But it’s not really any of these. It’s a living culture of beneficial microorganisms, and in Kombucha’s case, the whole is infinitely greater than the sum of its parts! Our Kombucha is delicately cultured – some liken it to fermentation – for 30 days. During this period, essential nutrients form like active enzymes, viable probiotics, amino acids, antioxidants and polyphenols. All of these combine to create an elixir that immediately works with the body to restore balance and vitality. Kombucha has been used for hundreds of years throughout the world as a daily health tonic. The culture resembles a light brown, tough, gelatinous disk, and because it’s a living, growing entity, it can regenerate and create new cultures with every batch. In fact, GT’s Kombucha and Synergy are made from Kombucha cultures that are descendants of the original culture GT grew to create his first bottles.”
Now if you recall Bill, he is my very own “mushroom” like they are talking about, and I’m attempting to make my own Kombucha in my home cabinet! However it won’t taste anything like these wonderful, bubbly bottles of love (and yes they do say they are bottled with love – what a great and creative company!). Each Kombucha batch/drink will taste different, making all types of Kombucha unique and worth drinking!
Don’t forget to GRANOLA10 yourself today, and give me advice on whether or not I should invest (UPDATE: Well I was looking around online for stores that might locally sell the forerunner … Best buy has them on sale for $159.99 and they have them in stock!! I can NOT pass this up, since I can get my hands on one today!!!! WOO!)
P.S. Another challenge and giveaway spotted over at Special K Treatment’s website!!!
Good morning everyone! I am up way too early. First off, I want to encourage everyone to stop by an old blogging friend’s new wordpress blog! Her name is Ashley and I bet she would love some warm welcomes 😉
Also, I have a special deal for everyone! Raoul (coolest name ever) has offered all of my readers a 10% coupon over at Mixmygranola.com!!!!! Please simply type in GRANOLA10 upon checkout!
I took advantage of this offer and made myself Muffy’s Mix: Organic Dates, Caffeine Powder, Organic VitaCherry, Dried Bing Cherries, Roasted Almonds. Sounds like my favorite Luna bar …. eh? 🙂 With cherries instead of cranberries anyway.
So I’m debating with myself whether or not to order the Garmin Forerunner 305. It is on super good deal at amazon, and I can justify the price since I’m working 10 hours of overtime which almost covers the price … I’d love some feedback on this! I see it on a lot of blogs … I see a lot of good reviews. What does everyone think?
Oh, and just some insider info … Vitacoco is on big sale over at Amazon.com 😉
I made a breakfast cookie last night, and it contains 1/3c rolled oats, probably 1/3c almond milk unsweetened, 1tbsp almond butter, 1/2 scoop Amazing Grass Amazing Meal Chocolate Infusion, goji berries, and coconut flakes. Upon licking spoon after being done, I concluded that I would add perhaps a tsp of Sucanat on top to counteract the grassy taste of the Amazing Grass. With it, since it is somewhat low in calories for a breakfast, I’m having 2 hardboiled eggs with ancient sea salt.
The cookie actually tastes pretty good with the sugar on top. I didn’t have any other kind of protein powder to add, lol, so I figured I’d try a “green” cookie. Since the powder is brown though …. Yeah. Next time I make, I will definitely have to use a different protein powder, so I don’t have to top with sugar – it is almost too sweet! Good thing I have the eggs to offset it.
I hope I can find time to take a nap today …. I don’t have much to do today other than a short ingredients trip. My friend and I will be baking things tomorrow, so get ready for a big post tomorrow night on some recipes!
Have a great day, and don’t forget to GRANOLA10 yourself!
